I write: Children’s books, picture books, and women’s fiction, Christian devotionals and fiction, poetry and a love note now and then to my husband of 50+ years.
I live: in the same town I was born in, on a small farm just fifteen miles from the house where I grew up.
I love: God. My husband, my three great kids, my absolutely amazing, perfect grandchildren, singing, quilting, shopping, reading, writing, and a few other things I try to tuck in the open spaces I have left.
I work: as a Human Resource Director, currently for a chemical dependency treatment center, previously for a well known aerospace company. I very much enjoy the interaction with employees, training staff, and the challenge of keeping up on state and federal changes in employment law.
I dream: About getting a book published. I have published in several children’s magazines as well as a few adult publications. I am currently working on an inspirational book based on the story of the woman who touched the hem of His garment and was healed. I also have several children’s picture books in progress.
My biggest challenge: Making a decision to retire.
This will be wonderful to read and reflect and share. Don’t ever stop being you! I have learned through this long winter: “Don’t live in fear of tomorrow. Live in the HAPPINESS of today.”
Oh Lynee- God is so good at brining gold out of our times of rubble, isn’t He? About the time we think He’s forgotten us He reminds us what is really important in life and what to hold on to with all our hearts. I praise Him for that.

Just checking in, Cheryl. Hope this note finds you doing well. I haven’t seen anything new from you in a while. Are you still here?
Joe – Thanks for checking. I have been slammed this past few months and just unable to keep up with the blog. Trying to get back to it and hopefully will start posting again soon. Still enjoying your posts though.
